What is a Crashpad?

A crashpad is a fully furnished lodging accommodation that TDY military members can choose to occupy in place of on base lodging. While they are traditionally rented exclusively to military members, our Little Rock Crashpads are open to the public as Airbnbs while they are not occupied by service members; this allows them to be considered reimbursable lodging under the new JTR update. Private, non publicly available crashpads, are not currently reimbursable.

Do I have to stay on base while TDY to Little Rock AFB?

NO! According to the JTR, you may stay off base. Your reimbursement, though, is limited to the amount you would be charged for staying in base lodging….and conveniently, that’s exactly what we charge. We never, ever, charge over the amount you are legally authorized for reimbursement. So, the real question is, would you rather stay in base lodging without a kitchen for your TDY or have a brand new lakefront home to yourself?

Can I rent the whole Crashpad or only one room?

Either! If you want either of our Little Rock Crashpads to yourself, they’re yours. Simple as that. Only YOU get to decide whether to share your home.

Can I bring my spouse, significant other, or children?

Absolutely. And they can even have a room or two to themselves.

What is the daily rate for the Crashpad?

Currently, $99 per day. We match the price of the daily base lodging rate so that you incur NO out of pocket costs for lodging.

Are there really no expenses?

Yep. None. No utilities, no payment surcharges, no TDY date change fees, no holiday break costs, and certainly no “Hey-look!-That-could-be-a-great-fee” fees.

How far are the Crashpads from Little Rock AFB?

Both are a short 6 minute drive from Harris Gate, an 8 minute drive from Arnold gate, and a 10 minute drive from the Vandenberg Gate.

How new are the Crashpads?

As of the current writing, these are THE newest crashpads in Little Rock. They were completed and established in June of 2024.

What if my TDY dates change?

Then so can your reservation. When you stay with us, your stay is as flexible as your TDY. You’re going to arrive to Little Rock later than expected? No problem. Flightline got delayed and you have to stay longer than anticipated? No problem. You’re going to graduate early? No problem. Your move in and out date move with you. Really, truly, we understand. After all, we’re military C-130 pilots too.

Can you fish in the lake?

Yes. You can cast a line from the back yard, no kidding. The cove directly behind the crashpad houses 10lb carp and catfish, and we’ve got the photos to prove it.

Can you kayak or boat on the lake?

Yes. We provide 2 fishing kayaks that double as paddle boards exclusively for our military crashpads. There are also numerous fantastic kayaking trails and creeks located within only a 2 minute drive.

The Crashpads are by the lake…are bugs a problems?

The City of Jacksonville periodically sprays human-safe insecticides outside of lakefront properties. In fact, you are less likely to have to deal with insects in and around our Little Rock Crashpads than if you chose to live off the water.

Do you allow pets?

No. In order to respect any allergies of future residents and maintain the current quality of the homes, we do not currently allow pets. Exceptions for caged pets (fish, reptiles, etc) will be considered on a case by case basis.

How good is the Wi-Fi?

Literally as good as it gets. The homes have the fastest wired fiber optic internet they can get.

What type of beds do you have?

Where others have skimped, we did not….our bedrooms boast some of the most expensive name brands one can buy: Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster, and Dreamcloud Luxury Hybrid, to name a few. You can leave that mattress topper at home.

How frequently are the Crashpads cleaned?

Every other week! And additional cleanings are available upon request.

What type of cleaning supplies are used?

Our cleaner exclusively uses all-natural cleaning products which are safe for both humans and the environment.

Here’s an odd question - who mows the lawn?

Well, we actually have a robot for that. We call him Rover.

What payment methods do you accept?

Whatever is most convenient for you! GTC, personal credit card or debit card, bank transfer, Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, etc. You name it and we’ll make it work.

Can you help me out with my DTS voucher?

Oh yes. We’ve seen a voucher or two, or three.
